I am delighted that another festival of light is to be staged in Durham City and that this year’s event will be even more spectacular. From 12 November for four nights, landmarks, streets, rivers and bridges in Durham City will be transformed in unusual ways which will give people a different perception of well known places.  Live events from international and UK artists will add to the magical experience for the many thousands of visitors who are expected to attend.

This event showcases the kind of high quality cultural event Durham provides and is one of the reasons why Durham would be a worthy City of Culture in 2013.
